Cllr Keith Marquis
June
saw a 43% reduction in crimes reported compared to the same period last year.
Again the crimes that were reported covered a variety of offences with the most
significant reductions in the areas of theft and violent crime. The team are
continuing to patrol the villages and instances of Anti Social Behaviour have
seen a marked reduction. This work will continue throughout the summer with a
view to maintaining the current progress in the area.
OTHER MATTERS
The team are currently setting up a series of community consultation dates. These will move away from the use of the mobile office and we will hopefully have a regular slot in local community centres and village halls. Historically the mobile office has had few visitors and we are hoping this new approach will encourage more residents to come and discuss issues and priorities. Details to follow.
